Our Church FamilyWelcome from the Pastor

Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Our purpose is to be and see others become In Christ, through Grace, for God's Glory.

As our site conveys, at Grace you will find a warm and loving community, expository preaching, a commitment to reformed confessional theology, Christ-exalting worship, and a focus on church health.

For this reason, the elders of Grace Presbyterian believe that both the message and methods of Gospel ministry are given in Scripture. The message is the Gospel and the methods are what we call the “ordinary means of grace” – the Word, Sacraments, and Prayer. Though regularly tempted to change the methods and/or message, we believe the Holy Spirit uses faithfulness to methods and message to exalt the Savior, humble sinners, and promote grace-based holiness.

Simple, Strong, Spiritual, and Scriptural would be how we describe who we are and what kind of Church we desire to be.

I hope you will take the time to contact us and visit us on a Sunday morning.

Yours for the Faith,
Pastor Brent Sadler

Who We Are

A Short History of Grace

Grace Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Our congregation joined the PCA in 1975, leaving the mainline Presbyterian church (PCUSA) because of the increased theologically liberal and unbiblical direction it was taking. We praise God for His provision of land, a building, and pastors along the way to help us in proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of Jackson, Tennessee.

What to Expect

We thank you for visiting our website and encourage you to visit on a Sunday. When you visit you will find the following:

  • A congregation that is warm, inviting, and enjoys fellowship.
  • A congregation that is multi-generational.
  • A service grounded in God’s Word. We seek to read the Bible, sing the Bible, and preach the Bible.
  • A congregation that is committed to the ordinary means of grace ministry.
  • A strong Word ministry. Our pastor preaches through entire books of the Bible at a time, with the knowledge that God’s Word is sufficient and applicable to all aspects of our daily lives.
  • Monthly celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
  • Sunday school classes designed to teach us more about the Lord and His Word. Our children’s classes are currently studying how God leads His people. Our adult class is currently studying the attributes of God.
  • Music that is God-honoring. Our goal is simple, Scriptural, and doctrinally-sound music. To this end, we use Colossians 3:16-17 as our guide:

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (English Standard Version)

    • For this reason, we have a mixture of traditional and contemporary hymns, as well as Psalms in our worship.
